Dear Sir/Madam,

The Malaysian Medical Association, Penang Branch is organising the 22 nd  Teaching Conference for General Practitioners, from 13th  to 15th  September, 2019 at the Bayview Hotel Georgetown, Lebuh Farquhar, Penang.  This will be our 22nd  course in the series.  It has been held annually since 1998 and has been run by the same Organising Co-Chairs listed below under the auspices of the Malaysian Medical Association Penang Branch.

From 13 th  September to 15 th  September 2019, for three days, Friday to Sunday, there will be multiple presentations and lectures on topics by eminent speakers, chosen based on evaluation and feedback from earlier conferences.

On Monday 16 th  September, 2019, there will be a full day’s Post Conference Workshop on Dermatology, during which topics on Dermatology will be discussed at length.   Please see the attached programme for details of the conference and workshop.

We expect over 200 doctors to attend the Conference which will be accredited for 20 CPD points.

A trade exhibition will also be held. This will provide an opportunity for exhibitors to display their products, equipment and services.  The abstracts of the presentations will be printed into a book. The theme for the free papers this year is "Management of Diabetic Nephropathy in private practice".  The Organising Committee invites you to participate in this Conference.

THEME

Management of Diabetic Nephropathy in private practice

GUIDELINES

-  Text must be typed single-spaced, with only the left margin justified. Graphs, tables and illustrations cannot be included in the abstract.

-  Each abstract should not exceed 350 words (inclusive of the name of authors); and must be submitted in the template provided.

-  Use capital letters for the Title. Underline the name of the presenting author.

-  Organise the Abstract under the following headlines – Introduction, Objectives, Methodology, Results and Conclusions.

-  The final selection will be the responsibility of the Scientific Committee.

-  Please provide complete information (correct email, full mailing address and contact number) in the submission form to enable us to process your submission.

-  Abstracts should be saved in Word document format (*.doc) and should not exceed 1mb in file size.
